8204 - Ethics of Law, Politics and Governance

The program introduces students to philosophical issues arising at the intersection of law, politics, and governance. In the quest to understand the functioning of society, students will question the nature of law, politics and governance, review the moral considerations that arise in these fields and assess the nature of authority in society. It is hoped that the attempt to view contemporary issues of governance through the mind and ideas of classical philosophers will be inspiring and thought provoking for the students.
